Due to some heating and cooling issues, we've had to temporarily shut down our sanctuary building. This caused us to have to move the 25 dogs that were out there to our facility in town. Over the weekend of February 16th-17th, with the help of many volunteers, we managed to accomplish this not-so-small feat.
We now have 40 cats and close to 60 dogs at our Hwy. 58 location.  For those looking to adopt, this is an opportunity to view almost all the animals we have for adoption at one location!
If your looking to adopt, or your an SPCA supporter and haven't been in for awhile, or you simply would like to see what we're all about, stop by and meet the new staff, see all the changes and say hello to some of the animals you may not have met before. They love it when people come by and so do we.

Our Stone Soup Supper was a huge success!!!!  Thank you to everyone, all 200 of you, who showed up to support the animals at the Lake Country SPCA.  We look forward to making this an annual event.

Putt for Paws is coming up in April. This is always a big event and spaces are filling up fast.
See out Putt for Paws link or our Play Golf link for more information on this wonderful day of golf, food, and socializing.
Just recently a black lab was brought into the shelter. Duke, as he's been named, was hit by a car and brought
in by a wonderful young man who rescued him.  Duke has a fractured pelvis and is currently in foster care. His foster home reports that he is doing very well and hopefully Duke will be available for adoption following his
rehabilitation. Check back with us to follow up on Duke's recovery. Duke has been adopted. Thank you.
September 14th is the third annual Dog Day of Summer celebration. Remember that 98.3 and their beach music will be with us. Also this year we will be doing our first Pet Parade. Please see Pet Parade tab for further information.
